Values

At Cranford, we understand and are proud of who we are. Our learning is pursued with passion, creativity, challenge and honesty. Each member of our community recognises the central role they will play in creating a better future for everyone.

We value

Balance - you will see our teachers and pupils smiling and enjoying themselves as much as you will see them working hard

Respect - the relationships at Cranford both between staff, between staff and parents and between pupils and staff are built on the cornerstone of respect, trust and honesty. We work from the basis that we all want the same thing - to help the pupils achieve their best.

Pride and Achievement - we recognise that self-esteem is built through the recognition of pupils' achievement and we take time to make sure that both staff and pupils are proud of their success

Continuous Learning and Creativity - we allow ourselves and our pupils to make mistakes and to laugh at them and then we encourage each other to consider why mistakes happen and what we can learn. We recognise that we can always improve and strive towards excellence in everything we do.

Honesty and Communication - we recognise that the secret to happy and productive learning is openness and honesty; about our strengths, our weaknesses and our state of mind and what we need from our peers.

Student and Staff Fulfilment - We recognise that fulfilment and feeling good is all about getting involved, taking responsibility for yourself and striving to do the best you can.

Generousity of Spirit - At Cranford we all work together for the common good. We will bend and pick something up if you drop it and forgive mistakes. We recognise that giving to others is the single most satisfying thing in the world.
